Organisations

1. Paul at Elfrida Rathbone booked a one-to-one meeting with our Best Practice Manager Shafia

What made you choose to go to VCC for advice?
VCC have a long history of providing sound volunteering advice, guidance and opportunities to both organisations and individuals in Camden

What did you find useful about the event and/or meeting?
Shafia gave a variety of options and ideas on how to go about recruiting volunteers and even helped with the language in the marketing materials.

2. Lucy from Voiceability attended a Volunteer Managers’ Cafe with our Best Practice Manager Shafia

What made you choose to go to VCC for advice?
Working as a volunteer manager I mostly work independently for a charity that is predominantly providing other services. It is so useful to be able to get advice and specialist support from VCC on specific matters that relate only to volunteering. This advice and support really helps our service ensure that we are providing the best volunteering experience possible for our volunteers.

What did you find useful about the event and/or meeting?
The opportunity to discuss any questions or queries I have face to face.

Organisations that attended our Volunteer Managers’ Forum said it was:

  • Really good to meet others in same role

“The help of the volunteers coming from TeamUP in one day would have take us around 2-3 month to complete. I would estimate the project to cost us around £2500-£3000 including labour. Thank you so much!”

“I would recommend TeamUP volunteering to other organisations, your help has been brilliant and really supportive to our charity. We couldn’t have achieved this without all your assistance.”

West Hampstead Women's centre

“It was the youths who attend the youth club who wanted to have it painted. Having the children voices heard and having their say to the place they attend everyday was a massive success for them.”
