Volunteers’ Week is 1st-7th June every year, and is the perfect time to thank your volunteers for the difference they make to your organisation and community.
The Volunteers’ Week website is the best place to start planning your celebrations and this year it’s been refreshed and is looking really good.
Stuck for ideas?
Not to worry, there’s a whole section of the website dedicated to how organisations can get involved.
You can also sign up for the e-bulletin, so that you are the first to know all the news and updates about Volunteers’ Week.
This is what Volunteers’ Week have to say about the celebrations:
VOLUNTEERING FOR ALL
Volunteers’ Week is a chance to say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
It takes place 1-7 June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity.
Good to know…
We are keeping the celebrations alive throughout the month of June with three events and social media during Volunteers’ Week. This year we will be:
- Kicking off Volunteers’ week with a social media campaign to celebrate volunteering in Camden and beyond.
- Co-hosting a Volunteering Fair with Volunteer Centre Islington on Thursday 14th June, 12-2pm in Camden Town.
- Hosting a Volunteer Managers’ Forum on Tuesday 19th June, 10am-1pm in Camden Town. This is for volunteer managers from everywhere to get together to discuss all things volunteer management.
- Delivering a Volunteer Management Workshop. This time we will be looking at ‘FutureProofing: Reshaping Volunteer Involvement’, 10am-1pm at The Angel in Islington. This is also open to volunteer managers everywhere.
More details will be released when we have them, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
