Matchmakers and a Video Editor for Volunteer Centre Camden
Matching volunteers to volunteering roles is the core service of any volunteer centre. And we at Volunteer Centre Camden are looking for reliable and motivated individuals to be on hand at events, outreach sessions and mostly in VCC’s office to:
* Help the people who attend events and outreach sessions and who contact VCC to find out about volunteering opportunities
* Answer questions about volunteering
* Follow-up with clients after they have chosen opportunities to see how they are getting on and if they need any more help
Matchmakers provide information and support to clients, but please note we do not give advice!
This role would ideally suit volunteers who enjoy working face-to-face with clients (or who have an interest and would like to try it out) and who would also like an element of office-based admin. An essential part of the role is follow-up work by telephone and email to find out if clients have started volunteering and if they need more help to do so.
We are also recruiting volunteers for Team UP, our service which matches businesses with local organisations who need a bit of help doing something. This could be a team challenge to deliver an employment workshop, or to tidy and maintain a community garden or to use your skills, such as producing a marketing strategy for an organisation to get their message to a wider (or more targeted audience) or perhaps developing a business development plan.
With this in mind, our colleague Raquel is looking for Office Assistants (to help her prepare for team challenges) as well as a Video Editor (to edit footage that she has taken of the volunteering so far… so we can attract more people to take part).
You can find full details about Team UP on our website for businesses that have staff who want to volunteer, as well as for non-profit organisations that are looking for extra help.
Or get in touch with Raquel directly by email or phone 020 7424 9990.
