London Design Biennale 2016 is looking for a number of events volunteers to take part in their upcoming festival at Somerset House (7-27 September 2016)
This is what they say about their volunteering roles:
With over 30 countries from round the world, represented by the leading museums and design organisations, you will be part of London’s first ever Design Biennale. You will gain first hand knowledge of the installations and build experience in visitor facing roles.
What to expect
All roles are based at Somerset House during the Biennale. Your role will be to welcome visitors and help them navigate their way through the diverse and exciting installations throughout Somerset House. You will be part of a team ensuring that visitors to the Biennale are met by friendly, helpful and enthusiastic volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in design, keen to learn more about a large scale international event and enjoy interacting with people. We will have a diverse audience and you will need to be able to handle a range of inquiries and provide assistance to all our visitors.
Please submit your details on the LDB website if you are interested in volunteering. There will be two volunteer drop-in sessions in August as well as a training session in advance of the Biennale.
Good to know: There are additional opportunities to volunteer for the London Design Festival (17 – 25 September 2016), please click here to find out more and apply.
And if events volunteering is your thing, then it may be of interest to know that Open House Weekend (17-18 September 2016) is also currently recruiting volunteers. More info about this on our website.
