Instagram campaign puts spotlight on charities
An Instagram campaign is hoping to highlight the good work that charities undertake and give the general public a unique insight into their work.
#CharitySpotlightFortnight will run from 13-27th June and is asking charities to post a photo a day on their Instagram account related to the daily topic. Topics range from what motivates the charity, highlighting volunteers or their fundraisers’ work.
The campaign was the idea of BluebirdPR, a PR company that works solely with charities. Director, Sarah Wallace said:
“I tend to work with small to medium sized charities who not many people have heard of but do such vital work. I wanted to give them a platform for showcasing what makes them unique and why people should choose to support them. Instagram is such a great tool for charities as the old saying goes a picture tells a thousand words, so let’s hope these pictures do the talking!
“I’ll be posting instructions a week before the launch so keep an eye on my Instagram page on how you can get involved.”
The campaign is also encouraging all Instagram users to tag your favourite charity so they can get involved too.
If you want to get involved with the campaign just follow @BluebirdPRUK. Simples!
