The Big Dig 2018 – Saturday 21st April 2018
Every spring, hundreds of volunteers pull on their wellies and head outside to help community gardens get ready for the new growing season. The Big Dig 2018 is a great way to spend a day outdoors, learn how to grow food and meet new people.
Find a local garden to dig in with on this handy map. (In fact, there are a number of gardens in Camden, such as Cecil Sharp House, the Skip garden at King’s Cross, Urban Growth and the Regent’s Park Allotment.)
Also, good to know…
- The Spring Capital Growth training calendar is hot off the press! Booking is open via Eventbrite so check it out.
- The London Grows buddy scheme is also now in full swing: buddies are trained up and ready to visit gardens who need advice, guidance or new ideas around food growing and attracting wildlife. If you know any gardens who would like free visits and support, please direct them to the buddy scheme webpage for more information.
Nice one! And just in time for the good weather. 😉
