Job Hub Links
Enabling employee volunteers to provide employability support to isolated and disadvantaged Camden residents
Funded by Camden Giving’s Kings Cross Fund, Job Hub Links is a dynamic impactful project bringing practical and aspirational employability support to those who most need it in Camden.
Team UP is leading on the employee volunteering side of the project and will be organising and facilitating businesses and their employees to deliver:
- Employability Workshops – hosted by the business supporting this initiative and offering CV assistance, mock interviews and career mentoring
- Offer Training Places – allowing beneficiaries to join internal training/workshops
- Mentoring – structured 1-2-1 mentoring sessions (face-to-face and/or remotely)
- Short Work Placements or Work Trials
‘A City of London study showed when a business invests £1 in employability-related employee volunteering, the social return is over £11 for society’
Team UP will work with businesses to help ensure the activities are delivered to their maximum impact for the beneficiaries and employee volunteers giving their time. This project offers a great chance for volunteers to pass on their knowledge and experience and we know from previous projects this support has a significant impact for beneficiaries, helping to improve confidence and aspirations.
Most employee volunteering projects require a budget in order to be carried out but with our funding Team UP can support a business to carry out the above at no cost.
If you would like to know more and, hopefully, want to take part in any of the above then please contact the Team UP team by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 020 7424 9990.
The Job Hub Links is a project delivered in partnership by Team UP from Volunteer Centre Camden and led by employability specialists from Somers Town Job Hub who will be providing intensive structured support to beneficiaries.
