Handel & Hendrix Museum in London is a small museum in the heart of Mayfair – and they’re currently looking for Front Of House Assistants.
This is what they say about their museum and the role:
The organisation is committed to promote knowledge, awareness and enjoyment of Handel and Hendrix and their music to as wide a public audience as possible. We strive to inspire, educate and inform through the interpretation of the Georgian house at 25 Brook Street, where Handel lived and composed for 36 years, through live music performances, educational and outreach activities and collecting, exhibiting and interpreting objects related to Handel’s life and works. In addition, we aim to promote the continuing and diverse musical and cultural heritage of 23 Brook Street through its association with Jimi Hendrix who lived here in the late 20th century.
Volunteers are at the heart of Handel & Hendrix in London, providing vital support in the day to day running of the historic residences.
We are currently recruiting for Front of House Volunteers.
Front of House Volunteers fill the roles of room attendants, shop assistants and receptionists; and are provided full training and with the opportunity to be event stewards, become involved in our oral history project and to give talks and tours.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest in history, heritage and music who are reliable and keen to be involved in a dynamic organisation.
It is a very exciting time to be joining Handel & Hendrix in London due to the expansion of the museum and development of exciting new projects.
We are currently looking for individuals who can commit to one shift per week, from 11:00 to 18:00 on a day of your choosing. Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.
What an exciting role, and just in time for the Summer!
