#CharitySpotlightFortnight Instagram Campaign is Back to Highlight The Work of Charities Across The UK
Charities are being urged to lend their weight to an Instagram campaign that has been created to highlight the work of the sector. In other words, this is a fab way to generate some social media buzz around your organisations and what it aims to achieve. And this can lead to donations of time (volunteering), and money. Hurrah!
The initiative was created by Third Sector PR company, BluebirdPR, and encourages charities to log in to their Instagram accounts and post a photo each day for a fortnight that’s related to the daily topic using the hashtag #CharitySpotlightFortnight. Topics will include their supporters, beneficiaries, and what inspires them amongst others.
#CharitySpotlightFortnight, which runs from 7th-20th August, also encourages all Instagram users to tag their favourite charity in order to raise awareness of their work.
This is the second year the campaign has run. Sarah Wallace, director of BluebirdPR said: “We had such a positive response from charities last year that we wanted to repeat the campaign again, but this time with new topics. The feedback we got was that Instagram was such a great platform for small and medium sized charities to showcase their work and this initiative helped them to think about telling our story, as well as finding out about some other lovely charities along the way and learning from their approach. We hope that lots of charities take part and help spread the word about their work.”
Charities are invited to follow @BluebirdPRUK on Instagram in order to find out more. But you’re going to need to be quick about it, as the fortnight kicks off next Monday 7th August! 🙂
And remember to tag us (@volunteercentrecamden) in your posts. We are happy to repost all organisations in Camden and its borders.
