Staff at Volunteer Centre Camden
Dominic Pinkney (CEO) Dominic is responsible for the overall running of the organisation, including fundraising, strategic development of volunteering and promoting volunteering.
Sheila Norris (Operations Manager, Marketing and Communications Manager) Sheila promotes all of Volunteer Centre Camden’s projects and events, including volunteer management training by our Volunteer Management Academy, as well as volunteering in Camden via Twitter, Facebook, our websites, the do-it website, Streetbank, Gumtree, posters, flyers, leaflets, e-bulletins, events and any other way that’s possible. Any ideas are welcome! Just get in touch by email.
Rupal Karia (Volunteering Services and Best Practice Manager) Rupal manages our brokerage service, which matches people who want to volunteer with organisations looking for volunteers in Camden. This includes promoting trusteeship to prospective volunteers, matching people with skills to organisations who could use those skills as well as working with organisations to help them recruit a more diverse range of people to their management boards and provide resources that assist with strategic planning. She also arranges for Volunteer Centre Camden to attend external events.
Rupal also gives one-to-one support to organisations in Camden so they can involve volunteers in their work effectively, safely and in a way that benefits both the organisation and volunteer. Email Rupal to book a one-to-one meeting here.
Catherine Evans (Employer Supported Volunteering Manager / Stepping Stones to Work Manager) Catherine has a number of roles with us. As ESV manager she connects the skills and talents of people in business with the needs of community groups in Camden.
As Stepping Stones to Work manager she supports people who are unemployed into volunteering roles, including placing them as volunteer coordinators in organisations in Camden. As part of this role, she also works with organisations to recruit, train and support the voluntary Volunteer Coordinators.
Huge thanks to our team of more than 30 volunteers, most of whom are directly involved in our service delivery. We couldn’t do what we do without them!
