A Bit More About Team Challenges
The days usually start at 9:30/9:45 at the charity. Your team will be given an introduction to the charity and the work they do, a tour of the site and a Health & Safety briefing. The tasks for the day are described and the team splits into groups to tackle them and are given an introduction to the specific tools they will be using. There are always options available for the less physically able.
Lunch is generally not provided by the charity – you can order in pizza or pre-order lunch at a local pub/restaurant.
The work ends at around 4pm and we aim to be cleared up and off site by 4:30. Staff can return to the office, but we recommend that the team reconvene locally for a formal debrief at a time that means that those with strict after-work commitments can join in.
These days are fully risk assessed, planned, supervised and photographed and documented for your records. All your team needs to do is pick a date that suits everyone and turn up in sensible footwear and clothes you don’t mind getting grubby.
We currently have team day out options across the following impact areas:
- Working city farm
- Childrens’ play centre
- Homeless hostel
- Conservation at a historic cemetery
- The gardens of an iconic hospital
- Tea party for the elderly
