+ Intermediate level training for volunteer managers everywhere +
Finding it difficult to recruit volunteers for roles which previously were easy to fill? You’re not alone…
Volunteering programmes have become more formalised over the years, and most are developed around what the organisation needs. However, the landscape is changing and the generation of volunteers that were able to commit to regular, ongoing volunteering roles are few and far between. This trend towards volunteers looking for a different experience to what is traditionally offered is fast becoming the norm.
Join us to consider the ways in which we can reshape the way we involve volunteers for what volunteers want now.
During the day we will cover:
- The reasons behind this trend towards more flexible, episodic volunteering roles
- How you can make those changes to your volunteering roles
- Tips on things to avoid (because they are off-putting)
- What you need to keep, because it works and / or cannot be changed
- Any concerns you might have on making changes
- Looking at local roles where this new volunteering model works well
By the end of the morning, you will be more aware of what volunteering are looking for, and ready to take the next steps to making a change in your organisation. All of our workshops are interactive and feature exercises which you will explore in small groups.
